Hey everyone, I’m looking for book recommendations that capture the qualities I love in these three authors:
Donna Tartt – Immersive, character-driven stories with rich prose and a touch of mystery. Bonus points for academic settings or secret societies. (The Secret History)
Haruki Murakami – Dreamlike, surreal narratives where reality blurs and strange things happen without clear explanations. A sense of melancholy, but also wonder. (Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World)
David Mitchell – Layered storytelling, multiple timelines, interconnected characters, and ambitious narratives that span different genres. (Cloud Atlas, Slade House)
If you’ve read anything that fits one or more of these, I’d love to hear your recommendations!
