Maybe the caption says enough, but I've decided to indefinitely cut ties with a younger sibling who has compulsively lied, stolen, deceived, manipulated, backstabbed, among other wonderful things from the time she could walk and talk. She's particularly talented at victimizing, garnering sympathy, and weaponizing her diagnoses—some confirmed professionally, others self proclaimed—without an ounce of empathy for others experiencing similar struggles. In light of some recent events involving a fairly impressive amount of deception, I've all but lost any respect I had remaining for her.

I'm having a difficult time internally reconciling this decision and the impacts it may have on our aging parents. They only have two kids: me and my sister. Most books I've found so far have to do more with intergenerational trauma and toxic parent(s). Not sure if there are any books surrounding challenging sibling relationships? I'm not necessarily looking for self help titles (though they would be appreciated), just anything that I can read of any genre and possibly relate to.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions! 🙂 It's an odd ask so I understand if nothing comes to mind!
