So I just downloaded this audiobook off audible since I needed to get rid of a credit and heard about the recent controversy.
What are peoples thoughts on this book? I personally am regretting spending a credit on this book. She is very Willy nilly happy go lucky “oh haha just gunna switch some name tags(this is kinda shitty tbh) and run at horses hehe silly us” now she’s spending five minutes talking about herself and her shark attack, I had to take a break.
Isnt this book about Mark Zuckerberg? Does it ever get to that or? I’m confused about the narrative as well. She’s so snarky and condescending, like yeah Mark is feeling uncomfortable and awkward, that’s actually pretty human, are we faulting him for that?
Jeez it’s really aggravating and I’m only on chapter 1. so my question is, should I give it more of a chance?

It’s a memoir. They are usually from one perspective. I finished it. It was fine. I thought she could have been a better person too.
I just finished and found it fascinating. If you’re interested in how the careless decisions of a few individuals can so greatly influence global politics and shape the new world order, then carry on.
The book is great. You should read more than the first chapter
I am 60% through the audiobook and am not seeing it in the same way you do. She doesn’t sound happy-go-lucky to me and I really am not getting snark/condescension either—to me (an American) New Zealanders can sound very matter-of-fact, maybe that’s what you’re picking up on?
If you think switching name tags is shitty, there’s a lot you’ll be surprised to hear about Mark lmao. I have 0 sympathy for him or any of the higher-ups she writes about. Sounds like you just aren’t a fan and that’s okay, you can always just…not continue
