I love the Cthulhu mythos and am interested in finding authors that aren't HP Lovecraft. I just finished reading Darkness Below by Barbra Barbara Cottrell and it was pretty good, but I'm curious what else is out there.

Just looking to find what how authors have expanded on the universe. <3

“The Rim of Morning: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror” by William Sloane.

I really enjoyed this book – It was fun to read stories that didn’t drag but were long enough to really establish the characters and the plot. I also had a lot of fun thinking about whether I believed they qualified as “cosmic horror”, and I ended up going down a rabbit hole of what cosmic horror was and how cosmic horror is a reflection of the reader and also how what we think cosmic horror is can tell us a lot about our own individual perception of reality. Or something – I just loved how much these two tales made me think. 🙂
