I (37m) from the US and have recently been seeing Japanese literature popping up for me on Facebook, which has made me intrigued. I practice Zen Buddhism (for years) and gravitate towards concepts such as impermanence, interconnection, oneness with nature/animals, stillness, gratitude, bittersweet, Wabi Sabi, etc.
Could you suggest some books you think may be up my alley?
I’m open to all types of books from slice of life human dramas to more fantastical/magical genres. I’d appreciate more mature characters given my age versus young adult.
Thanks in advance!

Start with any novels by Haruki Murakami.
If you like Murakami then try The Full Moon Coffee Shop by Mai Mochizuki.
