I've been reading "Our Films, Their Films" by Satyajit Ray, and loved his essays on his filmmaking process and his opinion on Indian as well as foreign films.
I would love to read more books of artists, musicians, directors, designers, and their creative journey, preferably written by themselves. Any recommendations?

John Cleese has a very short book called Creativity that discusses his processes.
It’s not about his process, but he does discuss other films, Quentin Tarantino’s Cinema Speculation reads exactly like you’d want a QT book too. I think it’s a matter of preference how annoying you find that.
