I’ve had a pretty shit year. I’ve been running on Stress and adrenaline since the year started. In the last couple months I’ve also been diagnosed with chronic illness. A lot of my plans and hopes have been crushed by it.
I’ve been slowing down and need a book to feed my soul, so to speak. I’m looking for preferably non-fiction books (or poetry) that help me feel seen, safe, maybe a little hopeful. Renegotiating your own identity etc.
Previous books I’ve read that hit the spot for me include Tattoos on the Heart by Gregory Boyle and Phosphorescence by Julia Baird.
Thank you.
