It's one of my favourite books. It's been a long time since I read it so idk if I'm describing it accurately but here goes. I like the comedy the most, it's very specific, kind of dry and quirky. I love the atmospheric nature of it, you feel like you're there with him, cold and isolated. I love the personalities in the book, the fondness and thoughts the doctors have about others. About the later parts of the book, morphine addiction, I don't really care about it to be honest, not for nor against. I love the urgency and timing, it doesn't feel dragged, things move. So, if you know any book that fits this description, please tell me thanks.
