Hey Oh!!! Who wants this book to actually exist?!?!?!?
So I’ve been working on a book called Securely Attached (But Not in a Creepy Way) – it’s a lighthearted guide to healing your attachment style with help from a doctor (Dr. Diane Poole Heller), a therapist (me), and a comedian (inspired by Taylor Tomlinson’s emotionally savage stand-up).
It’s part audiobook companion, part self-help, and part “emotional support with jokes.” Think: attachment theory that doesn’t feel like homework.
I’ve been using Dr. Heller’s Healing Your Attachment Wounds audiobook in my counselling sessions for years, and my clients kept saying the same thing:
So I made a Listening Guide, and then I started writing this book. And now… I really want it to actually get published. Like, in real life. I’m pitching it to Sounds True (the publisher of Heller’s audiobook), and trying to get the attention of her team and Taylor Tomlinson’s.
(Hi, Taylor, if by some miracle you're here!)
Here’s where you come in, Reddit:
🧠 Would you read a book like this?
😂 Do you want secure attachment without losing your sense of humour (or your mind)?
📣 Would you help me make some noise so this book gets picked up?
If you’re into it, I made a little early access form to show interest, get sneak peeks, and maybe even be a beta reader if that’s your jam:
👉 yeh… um, apparently no links in reddit so I actually don't know how to share a link to a google form here. Boo! But also, I bet that exists for a reason that I just don't understand yet.
Drop a comment, tag a friend who needs this, or just yell “YES” in all caps. Every little bit helps.
Let’s heal attachment wounds—with memes, mistakes, and maybe a little bit of love.
