I’m looking for more books with themes of nihilism, pessimism, existentialism and characters that live at the bottom of society and will most likely stay there because, well that’s life.(i.e. Hunger-Knut Hamsun, You Can’t Win-Jack Black, etc.)Most obviously I love Bukowski and other writers such as Camus, Celine, Sartre. Also as an Appalachian, I love finding books set in the mountains of Appalachia such as Harry Crews(I’d love to find something similar to him) or Cormac McCarthy(Suttree). I’m interested in hearing some suggestions.
