I'm open for almost any genre, lately I've been reading and interested in horror adjacent books. For non-fiction, I've been reading the rise and fall of authoritarian powers.
My most recent books I've read:
Tender is the Flesh; this book I am giving a 5/5 for me – the literature itself was outstanding and the end floored me. I saw it coming but didn't want it to happen. Absolutely wonderful. Disturbing, thought provoking, connections to humanity, hit me emotionally.
Between Two Fires; 4/5 – felt like reading a medieval horror written for HBO. Story was refreshing, it handled the transitions between the main events well and the ending was satisfying.
The Master and Margarita; 4.5/5 – Is this author Russia's Kurt Vonnegut!? Story was fun, the connection between the writers and society in Russia along with the Devil causing chaos in Moscow was a lot of fun. Shows that redemption is around for all.
