I've been exploring different reading platforms (Goodreads, Storygraph, etc.), and like many of you, I'm running into common frustrations—clunky interfaces, limited book databases, or a lack of real community features.
I'm an English teacher working on a passion project, and I’m seriously considering building a better alternative. Not just another clone, but something that really reflects what readers want.
So I’d love to hear from you:
- What’s missing for you right now on the current platforms?
- What would your dream reading website or app look like?
- Would you want better recommendations? A stronger community? Easier tracking? Something else?
All feedback is welcome. Whether you use Goodreads, Storygraph, something else—or none of them—I’d love to hear what would actually excite you about using a new platform.
Thanks for reading.
