Book recommendation for a Ukrainian friend heading to the front line?
I have a friend in Ukraine who will soon be deployed to the front line. I would like to gift him a meaningful book something to provide strength, comfort or perspective during this difficult times. Do you have any recommendations?
Bloody hell this is quite a task. I could say that in a situation like that, any book would probably be as good as the next one.
Maybe The Lord of the Rings would suit the circumstances.

That is a tough one, I wish your friend the best with this. I think the right recommendation will come down to personality and what would best suit him in this situation. Below are a few recommendations that I can think of:
* Can’t Hurt Me by David Goggins – Goggins is all about mental toughness and talks about how he achieved it throughout his life.
* Meditations by Marcus Aurelius – This is a stoic classic that has wisdom about staying strong during life’s trials.
* The Warrior’s Meditation by Richard L. Haight – This is a book about finding mindfulness in stressful situations.
