I‘ve always been an avid reader but I’m really struggling to concentrate or find books that hold my attention.
I forced my way through The Midnight News by Jo Baker and I don’t understand the ending. I’ve obviously missed something?
The final pages ended with Charlotte realising “that could only mean….” But never explicitly stated what. And also, there was something in the box but we didn’t find out what it was because Harris wasn’t “at liberty to say”.
Please put me out of my misery! Why did El and Saskia die? What was Harris’ role? What did it have to do with Charlotte?
