There’s something very interesting to me about these island tourist-based economies and I’d love to learn more about how these various countries work, how they evolved out of the post-imperialist time, and what their challenges are today. If anyone has any recommendations, I’d love them. Searching for this brought up only fictional pirate type stuff, unfortunately; tracking down the real experiences of people living in these cultures & islands seems much harder.
