I know, I know. This trope is probably so common in the romance genre. But as a male, I have always found that genre hard to read. Especially because I am not looking for erotica whatsoever—I'd like not to know the sexual particulars of either protagonists, if possible.
So I am hoping to avoid the romance genre, but if there is a very good romance book that you'd like to recommend, I may be open-minded to reading it.
Other than that, I don't really have a genre preference. I'm open to fantasy, science fiction, or any number of settings, or plots. I'd just like this particular trope to be prominent for the duration of the book, if not largely central to it.
