I’m really in the mood for a book that’s filled with angst specifically within the relationship. I’ve actually been trying to find a book where there is a manipulative side character that gets between MC and romance partner/friends. I thought book 3 of the Nexus series was going to be perfect for this but it really dropped the ball on a great opportunity. I still enjoyed it and it had some good angst in other ways with betrayal, but it just wasn’t what I was hoping. Any suggestions from any genre that includes at least a little bit of romance, but has lots of angst would be great. Bonus points if there is a manipulative character in the mix!
