It’s a toss up between Animorphs #22: The Solution or Twilight: New Moon.

I haven’t got one favourite. I’ve got favourites from different periods of my life, but I recognise my tastes have changed over the years.

Easy one, Pride and Prejudice.

They’re two different things really, best and favourite. Always a bit of an internal battle. The best- which for me is technical mastery so, Lolita, Mason & Dixon. And my favourite- which is just sheer joyful enjoyment (Harry Potter, His Dark Materials).
The book(s) I think that brought the two together the best, are a real toss-up between Johnathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and Catch-22.

Either The Book Thief or The House of the Spirits… so hard to choose between the two

Oh so many over the years. But I’ll go with Murder on the Orient Express. It was my first book by Christie, and the book that introduced me to my favourite genre.

Honestly, it shouldnt be, I have a lot of criticisms of the book, but nothing has stuck with me the way A Little Life by Yani Yanagihara has. I also like Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Letham a lot too.

Moby-Dick. Great epic story, mythic-status characters, gripping action sequences, and the narrator Ishmael is witty as hell. Okay to skim the notorious digressions but I enjoy them.

Recency bias maybe, but Project Hail Mary. It’s the only book I’ve read again immediately after finishing it the first time.

My favorite book is Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison. However, it’s for reasons outside of just the story or the writing. When it comes to those factors, there are many books I love and I can’t really pick the “best”.

Probably House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski. It’s a lot to unpack and it never gets old.

Shogun by James Clavell. I love the evolution of the main character, as well as the deep political schemes that go on throughout the book. Plus it shows both the romance and brutality that existed in Japan through a westerners eyes (this also lends a lot of criticism).
But the book had moments where I felt more emotion than any other book I have read. (Note: read it way before the show came out)

It is a fantastic memoir that is incredibly impactful! And im someone who loves fantasy and science fiction/dysoptian!! Plus, this book is super short at like just about 200 pages I believe!
