    1. The only issue with asking for books with twists is that you will read it differently than if you didn’t know the twist was coming.

That said, I had zero clue that Life of Pi could even have a twist.

    2. Iain Banks, *Use of Weapons*, or *The Wasp Factory*. The former is less obvious, the latter is weirder… maybe.

    3. The Good Girl by Mary Kubica

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

The Girl in the Mirror by Rose Carlyle

The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

Anything by Jeffrey Ford — both the novels as well as the short fiction. You never know which way the story goes. It‘s mindblowingly good.

I read *Shadows* by John Saul knowing the twist. Still a wacky adventure of a read. Not top-notch writing but it left me thinking “how does he come up with this stuff.”

    6. To me, telling a book has a twist diminishes the twist by 50%. The whole time reading, I will focus on it. Aside that, go to the thriller section of used or new bookstores and pick any book. This genre thrives on and is saved by the plot twists.
