Okay, hear me out. I just finished The Sinners Condemned duology yesterday, and honestly… I’m shook. I never thought I’d be into dark romance—I’ve always stayed far away from it because it’s just not my thing. But let me tell you, the chemistry between the main characters in this book? Holy hell, it was fire. I mean, I was genuinely surprised at how much I loved it. The sexual tension? The banter? The push-and-pull? I am here for it.

That being said, there were definitely some parts that bothered me. The hero was literally about to kill the heroine, and all the murder talk? Yeah, that didn’t sit well with me. I know it’s a mafia romance, but still… it's a bit much. I’m fine with darker themes, but I can’t handle a heavy focus on murder. If the book has a darker edge but doesn’t go too far into the really dark stuff (like rape, that’s a hard pass for me), I’m good. I can skim past some murder if it’s not the main focus, but please no scenes that make me want to throw my Kindle across the room.

So here’s my request: Can anyone recommend books that have that same insane chemistry and tension? You know, the kind where the characters have this electric dynamic, but they don’t give in to each other too easily? They fight it, there’s that agonizing build-up, and then when they finally get together—it’s fireworks. I love that slow burn, the kind of tension that gives you butterflies in your stomach.

Also, please, no Made series or anything that’s too dark. I’m open to dark romance, just not the ones where murder is constantly in the background or it crosses into uncomfortable territory.

    Help me out, please!
