Hi!

IDK if this actually needs the NSFW flair, but i figure i'd rather be safe than sorry!

I am an avid reader, and have read a LOT OF BOOKS. I'll link my rec-list in a comment, though i've also included some of my favorites in the main text below) I prefer m/m romance, but I feel like a lot of them are way too explicit for my little ace brain..

I'd love to read some fantasy romances, but honestly, pretty much any genre goes! The only exception is sci-fi, as i have yet to find one that really catches my attention c:

‘Give me your best recommendations for books that have other plots than the romance, and where most, if not all the spicy scenes are either fade-to-black or behind-closed-doors

I’ve tried Romance.io, but i’m not a huge fan of the suggestions it offers. I've also scrolled reddit, goodreads, storygraph and google in general SO many times!
I eat my way through so many books a year, that getting a ton of recommendations, especially from people who might have the same tastes as me, would just be really nice lol

I really like – and have already read most books by – K. J. Charles, AJ Sherwood (mostly hits, but there are some misses), Allie Therin (looove her books, i keep rereading them), Charlie Adhara (I reread Big Bad Wolf a few times a year), TJ Klune, C. S. Poe, Freya Marske (though i didn't love Swordcrossed), Gregory Ashe (I like his mysteries, though especially the books about Tean and Jem, but i'm not a huge fan of his horror), K. D. Edward's (tarot sequence my beloved), Leigh Bardugo, and Alexis Hall.

A few series i've consumed and which in turn have consumed me, even if i don't love all the other works by the author:
The Raven Cycle – Maggie Stiefvater
Six of Crows duology – Leigh Bardugo
King of Scars duology – Leigh Bardugo
Ninth House – Leigh Bardugo
Adam binder – David R. Slayton
The Tithenai Chronicles – Foz Meadows

I would like N. R. Walker and Eden Finley and Saxon James fine, but their books are a bit too spicy for me. I can read them, but i do skip past the most intense sex scenes lol
I really liked Upside Down by N. R. Walker, but it's also an ace romance, so..

Ace/Non-binary? all good soup, will happily read about!
And as long as there's no explicit descriptions of penis-in-vagina sex (i'm ftnb trans and it makes me dysphoric as shit to read about), Transmen (and/or women) are also totally okay!

I've also been having a lot of fun reading books about actual adults, rather than new adults lately (so characters that are at least 25-30 yo), and would love some recs in that direction!

I prefer audiobooks over physical/e-books, and I have access to the US and UK audibles!
I can't stand books narrated by Joel Leslie/Joel Froomkin (he uses both names) though, so.. hm, idk? I can give e-books a try, but i vastly prefer audiobooks.

Is this too much information? I hope not, because my AuDHD mind can't wittle it down.. Please help me find some more lovely books ;w;

TLDR: M/M or M/NB Romance with little to no spice! Fantasy preferred, can any genre tho! Preferably older MC's, not teenagers.
Trans characters are also a-okay, but due to my own transness (say hello to Dysphoria, my least favorite friend) I do not want to read about PiV sex, so they really need to be non-spicy c:
If you have a non-M/M rec you think I'd like, feel free to give it to me too, I just skew in one way mainly haha

Thanks in advance!
