That AREN'T H.P. Lovecraft? While I respect him for pioneering the genre, I don't respect the fact that a big reason he created it was because of his racism-induced paranoia.
I'm a hobby writer, and I love the eldritch horror genre. I'm looking for books for inspiration, and study. Thanks!

The House on the Borderland by William Hope Hodgson, both the original story and the graphic novel adaptation
Blackwater Saga by Michael McDowell
The Fisherman by Paul Langman
Revival by Stephen King, 14 by Peter Clines, and it’s sequels. You mentioned Lovecrafts racism, and there is a recent phenomenon of Black writers creating Lovecraft-inspired horror, which is a really interesting response to how the genre became popular. The Ballad of Black Tom is the one that sticks in my mind.
Andre Norton had some eldritch type novels . Been 50 years since I read them and she wrote 191 books so research is mandatory.
