I love the mix of wackiness and humor with a very serious and dark story in the yakuza games and jojo series and need a book just like that. The book suggestion does not necessarily need to be the same sort of setting as the aforementioned stuff. Just something with well written characters and the same vibe. Forgive me if I'm not being descriptive enough.
