Hey everyone! I recently finished “Between Two Fires” by Christopher Buehlman and absolutely loved it! It’s a medieval horror set in an alternate timeline where the black plague is literally sent from hell. Now demons and monsters roam the earth as our characters must fight for survival and the maintain their humanity. I can’t recommend it enough and I’m looking for something hopefully along those lines. I’m open to suggestions! Thanks in advance.

That Buehlman book sounds wild. If you’re into dark, historical stuff with a supernatural twist:
* “The Terror” by Dan Simmons: Arctic expedition gone wrong, with something ancient and nasty hunting them. Slow burn, but builds serious dread.
* “Drood” by Dan Simmons: Dickens investigates a creepy mystery with opium and maybe something otherworldly. Atmospheric and unsettling.
* “The Fisherman” by John Langan: Grief and a local legend collide in a really haunting way. Not medieval, but scratches that similar itch of something old and evil lurking.
