    Hello,

I’m looking for books that deal with mortality and how the time we have is short. It could also be about how time often passes at a very fast pace.

I would love it if the protagonists are dealing with that crisis, and how they cope with it. It doesn’t have to be someone whose life is cut short by a disease, but even about someone realising that he or she has wasted a lot of time, and deciding to live the rest of their life in a good way.

    1. I know it gets suggested over and over on this sub but *The Remains of the Day* and most of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novels feature first person narrators who are grappling with regret/the passage of time
