I'm not into fantasy and mystic stuff, more into stories grounded to reality, I've read Godfather, I liked it, looking for something that gives me some different perspectives, i want to feel like a different person after reading it lol, that's how I would describe it.
I like stories with plot twists(not a lot).
I'm trying to get away from self help books
    Thanks!

you want real-world grit with depth and a little mind-bend—got you

      * **“A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara** brutal, emotional marathon—will change how you look at pain and loyalty
      * **“The Sympathizer” by Viet Thanh Nguyen** spy novel meets identity crisis—sharp, political, funny in a dark way
      * **“Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro** slow burn, eerie twist, hits you way after it ends
      * **“Shantaram” by Gregory David Roberts** crime, redemption, philosophy—based on a real fugitive’s life in Bombay
      * **“So You Don’t Get Lost in the Neighborhood” by Patrick Modiano** short, quiet, and haunting—perfect if you like plot + memory puzzles

      not fantasy
      not fluff
just storylines that hit like a truck and stick with you

The Instructions by Adam Levin – “ Adam Levin has shaped a world driven equally by moral fervor and slapstick comedy-a novel that is muscular and verbose, troubling and empathetic, monumental, breakneck, romantic, and unforgettable. ”

The Invention of Everything Else by Samantha Hunt (historical function re Nikola Tesla) “A masterful hybrid of history, biography, and science fiction, with Thomas Edison, George Westinghouse, and Mark Twain making appearances, The Invention of Everything Else is an absorbing story about love and death and a wonderfully imagined homage to one of history’s most visionary scientists.”

    3. As a disclaimer there are plot twists and it’s more of a psychological thriller (heavy on dialogue). The book is “A Dimmed Devotion” by Michael Andora. It follows the investigation of a missing artist. The main suspect is a famous musician that is also a recovering drug addict. It bounces back and forth between the current investigation and flashbacks from the past kind of like True Detective.

      Sicuramente
Memories of a Transsexual vol 1 di Pamela B. Dark romance mafia thriller across Europe, a memor noir with a twist and an Epic ending. Very strong and very realistic. Sometimes funny, sometimes erotic, sometimes tragic, hylarious, tragicomic. Mi ha tolto il sonno per giorni, a volte è scioccante fa riflettere molto
