Hey y’all! I first read the Hunger Games series in college, over the course of a week in 2011 lol. So everything’s a bit of a blur, I feel it’s a very warranted re-read lol. I haven’t read the two newer ones at all, though.
First question- are the newer books worth reading? I’m skeptical of the book about Snow- I hate a retroactive sympathetic arc- but I’ve heard good enough things to be hesitantly hopeful that the book won’t do that. I’m actively excited to read the other one, but would still appreciate y’all’s thoughts on it.
Second question- if you think those other books are worth reading, what order would you suggest reading them in? Like, original trilogy and then the new ones? New ones after the trilogy reread? Or maybe something like Ballad, Hunger Games, Sunrise, Catching Fire, Mockingjay?
Super curious to hear ppl’s thoughts on this, thanks 🙏

I’d like to know as well!
Publication order is the way to go. As for being concerned about a reactive sympathetic arc, Ballad handles the concept very well.
