I’m looking for a book about someone who kept their beautiful things to themselves. I am thinking non-fiction but fiction would be OK too. Some scientists come to mind, who had discoveries that couldn’t be revealed during their lifetime.
Here is my backstory: I am retired, and am taking my art seriously now that I have time. For a while, I just plugged along and learned and got a little better over time. Recently, I’ve had some breakthroughs and produced some pieces that actually take my breath away. I have shared a few of them, and people don’t like them. I don’t share them anymore because “people ruin beautiful things “.
I have matured enough that I don’t need anyone’s approval and the important thing is that I really love these pieces. But I would love to hear stories of other people‘s experiences in similar situations.
