Looking for a book that will get me excited over visiting non-major cities in the UK

Title. I would prefer a classic, but contemporary books are okay too!

I already plan on visiting the Charles Dickens museum and Whitby for Dracula. And thanks to D.H Lawrence's Sons and Lovers I am looking into cities that has something for those interrsted in coal mining.
