I just got done with a series where a police investigator was still rocking a flip phone in 2020 and while I liked the story I found it distracting how she spent half her time without signal or having to print out emails. It just feels like a waste of time to build suspense. I'm also over main characters who don't shoot their partners a text before going to talk to a suspect alone.
I need a main character who doesn't add to the drama with dumb personality quirks.
