what is a good and (relatively) easy to read fantasy book for me to read when i’m bored at home? i’m currently 22 years old and my reading level is at about 10th grade or so (so not something to hard or to easy)
also, no harry potter because i tried to get into it and i never liked and obviously because jk rowling’s transphobia

I love that you’re interested in books!
Twilight, vampire academy, the spooks apprentice, the hobbit were some of my favourite fantasy books growing up 🙂
Try Penric’s Demon by Lois Macmaster Bujold.lf you like it, it’s the first of a series of novellas
Currently reading assassin’s apprentice and I’m enjoying it so far. It takes you on a journey, the writing style is simple and nice, and good character development.
I’m only about 40% into the first book, and it’s part of a trilogy, so still very early for me to review.
I read the whole series of Percy Jackson. I found them to be a light read and funny.
i definitely recommend the Cradle series by Will Wight! relatively straight forward, easy to get into the characters and root for them, and lots of action to keep things moving and interesting
Mistborn!
It’s a bunch of metalurical powered criminals planning the ultimate heist against the god king. It’s exciting and weird and so much fun
Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell
I have a stay away from – Tress of the Emerald Sea. It’s described as a pretty easy fantasy read but it was unanimously hated by my book club.
