What I liked most about this book and series was the depth of the far-future societies present. Not just books that presents a multi-species society out in space, but one that imagines humanity as this varied and diverse group of people who all live in the same universe but with some choosing radically different paths. I loved the idea that there were humans in space colonies and terrestrial colonies and on mars, and humans that branched off completely on isolated planets. This is also an aspect I liked from the Murderbot Diaries, i.e the difference between Corporation-held territories and independent systems like Preservation. I'd like some recommendations for books that also put an emphasis on exploring stuff like that, if that isn't too vague
