I'm not just looking for books with black/african characters, but specifically fantasy books set in Africa. I recently read the forever desert series and I really liked the setting and i want someyhing similar.
I prefer books with a lot of female characters, interesting stories, diverse characters, good worlbuilding and magic systems, I'm very into novellas and I read a lot of WLW books. When it comes to historical I prefer books that are not too recent like NO WW2, WW1, hopefully <1900s but that could change. I'm 20 so open to both YA, NA and just adult. I'm ok with romance in the books but I prefer romantic subplots than just a romance.

you should read “What Sunny saw in the flames” by Nnedi Okorafor. It has a really good plot and amazing world building for the magic systems and powers etc. it’s set in nigeria
