Hello, I'm looking for something really specific in the way of vibes and I hope some of you may be able to help! I've read a handful of books over the last five years or so that all had elements of Arthurian myth woven into the plot without actually being retold Arthur legends, and I've loved them all very much. The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro was the first, which I read years ago. Then I read the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, and honestly I've reread that series a few times because it felt like I was a kid discovering reading again which was a sincere joy! And then very recently I finished The Absolute Book by Elizabeth Knox, which I could barely put down. And now I just want more stories with some Arthurian (or adjacent) threads! I've read the Mists of Avalon books, and the Crystal Cave books, and honestly I'm not really looking for grand epics or straight retelling of legends. And I know about the Keltiad, but I'm not really looking for interplanetary sci fi either. The vibe I'm after is myth and magic in banal spaces, if that makes sense. Quotidian wonder and subtle awe. I would love to hear any recommendations, thank you!!
