Hi, last year I read the Blackwater series and it got me out of the 'reading block' (basically burnout) and I really liked it, I devoured it in a week and less.
Then I read Gilded Needles, at first I struggled because I was expecting something more fantastic like the first books I mentioned, but once I got in the mood I loved it.
So, now, since those books are basically new in Italy, I came here on reddit for some recommendation on similar book, for differents motives:
– writing style
– themes (matriarcal families and dark themes in general)
– also I noticed the cruderlty and the rawness (I appreciated that it wasn't censured) so I want to try something similar
Please don't recommend books with 1000 pages because I'm reading Dracula and I have to get in the groove hahaha
