Sometimes I wonder if I would have loved certain books more or less if I had read them at a different time in my life, or even just in a different mood. Maybe the lighting, the weather, the kind of week I was having.
Do you think there’s a particular book that isn’t rated as highly or widely loved, but you adored it simply because of the vibes around you when you read it?
Curious if it’s just me or if the vibes really do make or break the reading experience.

I tried reading the virgin suicides and just was like “fuck this I can’t do it right now.” Probably could read it another time bc it’s like 200 pages but I was not feeling like reading another “men try and fail to learn that women are people” book
