Hi, I’m 16 and I haven’t read much my whole life, I’ve probably finished 2.5 novels since I started ready at like 7 or something and I’ve always put it off or avoided it. Lately, however I’ve found myself wanting to get really into reading, I’ve scanned my schools library but it’s real difficult for me to just get into something I’ve never heard of before. I’m really into adventure, comedy, romance and coming of age type stories. Preferably less long and when the page is jammed full of words it’s kinda overwhelming but I’ll give anything a go, if you know of anything you wanna recommend then by all means!!

It’s hard to start when you don’t know your preferences yet but considering your age I’d recommend some books from the Young Adult genre (YA) to start, Eragon, Harry Potter , Percy Jackson or even The Hunger Games are great gateways.
The Martian and Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir could also be good, those are science fiction but also quite funny with great plot and quite easy to read even with the bit of science thrown into it.
Those are books that i read when I was younger and that lit up my love for reading as a whole but every person is different, try as many genres as you want and read at your own pace.
