I'm looking for a particular kind of scene: a single flashback that summarizes and characterizes a longterm relationship, like childhood friends growing up together or the story of a couple from first kiss to final days.
It's something that's easily conveyed through visual media (think the opening scene of Pixar's Up) but I'm trying to find prose examples. The more succinct, the better. Any genre. Thanks!
