I absolutely loved the first season of Westworld, and Hotel Reverie was great as well, albiet brought down by some poor acting. The idea that their are enities that think they're humans but are actually just a replication.
I'm looking for a book that deals less with the entity coming to terms with the fact it isn't what it thought it was, although this is still important. I'm more look for a story where the entity is like 'okay, so i'm not what I thought I was, now what am I going to about it?'
Something like A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers is sort of what I'm looking for, but with a grander scope and a slightly more erie vibe rather than the poisitive one it has.
