The book that comes to mind is “Beach Read” by Emily Henry, it’s the recent one I read.. It’s a little predictable, but it’s a sweet rom-com..

Portia MacIntosh has a few. The Suite Life, Wish You Weren’t Here, The Meet Cute Method.
Smile Beach Murder by Alicia Bessette is a cute little mystery in the Outer Banks that got me out of a slump once.

I just read The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren which mostly took place at a resort in Hawaii. Their other book, The Paradise Problem, also fits the bill!

Pigs by Johanna Stoberock – Four children live on an island that serves as the repository for all the world’s garbage. Trash arrives, the children sort it, and then they feed it to a herd of insatiable pigs: a perfect system. But when a barrel washes ashore with a boy inside, the children must decide whether he is more of the world’s detritus, meant to be fed to the pigs, or whether he is one of them. Written in exquisitely wrought prose, Pigs asks questions about community, environmental responsibility, and the possibility of innocence.
