    I'm mostly looking for non-fiction books! I'm a teacher working with neurotypical but also neurodivergent students who have been diagnosed with conditions like ADHD, autism, and hypersensitivity. To be honest, it often feels like many parents don't fully understand what neurodivergence means either. So I'm looking for book recommendations to
    a) deepen my own understanding, and
    b) have something I can recommend to parents as well.

    I've already read Scattered Minds by Gabor Maté.

    1. *The Reason I Jump* by Naoki Higashida. It’s a nonfiction Q&A with a nonverbal autistic author. The book is a great insight into the mental faculties of autistic people. I share a few passages with my middle schoolers each April and they’re always surprised by how eloquent and self-aware Higashida is
