I've read a lot of WW1 books, but most are infantry. A few Airforce and a few navy.
But. Never one about life in the Artillery. Read some nonfiction articles but that's about it.
Any suggestions please? If no fiction, I guess nonfiction but I'd rather something like the Artillery guys – equivalent of All Quite On Western Front type books, a story more than lists of facts, if you get what I mean.
The nonfiction doesn't tell the tale really,it's all more lists, shells, types, loading process, casualty percentages and stuff. Which is not the same as a book about the actual life in the back lines.
