My boyfriend (23) isn’t really a book person and we’re doing a book exchanging gift for our upcoming anniversary. He’s never really read non-pictorial books but he does want to try reading again. So, what he is interested in are like Dante’s Inferno, something that tackles deep into themes of myths, life, death, religion, etc. I don’t he’s much of a story guy. He’s also into comics particularly DC but I kinda want to gift him a book book. Something that would keep him reading until the last page, something gripping, not too scary but something that would make him want to explore more literature.
Does anybody have a suggestion? May it be like an author or title, it would be of great help.
P.S. He’s more of a Film guy so here’s a list of films that he favored in Letterboxd that could maybe help:
- Interstellar
- Shrek 2
- Parasite
- Iron Claw
- Anora
- The Great Gatsby
- Spiderman (Spiderverse)
- Everything, Everywhere, All at Once
- Lalaland
- Wicked
- Past Lives
- Challengers
