He talks about books he’s read that are usually about things like the civil war or other political history. He used to work for the pentagon.
He goes to academic discussions at a local university. Needless to say he’s very well versed in these things—much more-so than me.
He’s probably read some of the more well-known titles. If anyone has any suggestions for books that may peak his interest but be lesser-known titles that would be very helpful.

Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant – Ulysses S. Grant
