I recently read Passage West by Rishi Reddi and How Much of These Hills is Gold by C Pam Zhang and loved them both. Looking for other books about immigrants to the American West. Specifically, I am NOT looking for books about people who immigrated to the east coast and then travelled to the west, but for books about people (probably mostly Asian people) who immigrated directly to the west coast. I'm open for time period, but mid/late 1800s to early 1900s would be preferable, but if you have something good from the 1970s, I'd be happy to read that too. Please, suggest me a book.
