-We recently listened to "The Thursday Murder Club" audiobook on a road trip and it was perfect. Easy listening, great voice actor, light, but still funny/insightful, addictive. Not too much of a "chick book", my brother loved it.
-Ideally <10 hours, but this can be flexible.
-It doesn't have to be a "cozy mystery" but ideally something that is more of a beach read and easier to follow as I will be driving while listening to this.
-I love beach reads, but need some dark humor, wit, insightfulness etc to balance it out. Nothing too saccharin.
-Ideally a free-standing novel and not a series.
-Mysteries/Thrillers would be great, but other genres like sci-fi would work too.
-Something that would work for men and women of different adult ages.
-A little sex is fine, but ideally not too much as I will be with my family.
I looked for other audiobook recommendation threads and most of the recommendations were way too long and probably a little too heavy to listen to while driving or stuff I would not want to listen to with my brother/mom. Any recommendations would be great!

I liked Richard Osman’s *We Solve Murders* even more than *Thursday Murder Club*.
I absolutely loved *Starter Villain* by John Scalzi.
*The Way I Heard* It by Mike Rowe is a great road trip book.
