Hi,
I don't really read books on a daily basis, but I figured that maybe there're some books out there that take place in a cool fantasy world with various races, fractions etc. I don't want it to be a 100% serious story in some dark world. I'd rather read something lighter, but still with an interesting plot that knows how to balance comedy with more serious moments. "Bright fantasy" is the term, I think?
I don't have any book titles I can give you as an example, but I can give title to a few anime or cartoons with the vibe I'm looking for: Wakfu, Dofus, Delicious in Dungeon.

Are you familiar with the LitRPG genre of writing?
Critical Failures. Players fall into their evil DM’s campaign as their characters. Crass comedy, some situations are resolved in a dumb manner for a laugh, but very DND.
Dungeon Crawler Carl. Aliens come to Earth and put people thru a Running Man type game show. There’s a lot of comedic beats but the story is overall dark.
I’ve got just what you are looking for. L.G. Estrella’s Unconventional Heros Series
The 2 Necromancers series. 2 Necromancers try to earn a pardon for past crimes by doing odd jobs for a kingdom. Strong found family vibe. The first book in the series is 2 Necromancers, A Bureaucrate, and an Elf.
Attempted Vampirism Series. A vampire noble has his castle repossessed for back taxes. He becomes an adventurer to try and earn money to buy it back.

There are a lot of books set in Dungeons and Dragons settings. The Dragonlance series and the Drizzt series are probably the best known. If you want more humor and no DnD branding then you should probably check out Terry Pratchett starting with either Guards! Guards! or Wyrd Sisters.
The Blacktongue Thief FEELS like D&D. It’s spectacular.
