I read a series called Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. It’s about a man that adopts seven daughters from around the world. When he dies, he gives each girl a clue to find their heritage. Each book focuses on the life of each girl and also flips from a past ancestor to the current descendant. They’re very good and the books deal with grief and healing.

Terry Pratchett’s Discworld might be your vibe, if you like a lot of light humor in your fantasy.
Melanie Rawn’s Dragon Prince and Dragon Star trilogies have a huge cast of characters, I loved them. High fantasy.

The Expanse is a science fiction series with nine novels and eight novellas. Lots of different characters and POVs. So good.
