Historical scholarly books focused around feudalism.
Looking for books primarily centered around the middle ages and europe. Doesnt really matter what region or specific period. Heres a few things im interested in learning about:
-the formation and development of feudalism in the early middle ages
-society, laws and customs of the period
-Charlemagnes empire and the creation and evolution of the holy roman empire
It doesnt necessarily need to cover all of these topics at least one is enough. The only absolutely necessary elements i'd request is that it be unbiased and well researched, which i think is a given for what im requesting.
Thank you in advance.

You might look into some of author Ken Follett’s books. He has authored a number of historical fiction books, including ‘The Pillars of the Earth,’ set in 12th century England.
