She has always been a reader. I am not, so I don’t know where to begin. I want to get her something easy to read but still interesting. She has some memory issues so perhaps a book of short stories she can just pick up and start whenever? I know that she likes Hemingway and she already has his short stories. She loves art and nature.

LM Montgomery wrote a lot of short stories, mostly very uplifting ones.
Maybe “Standing in the Rainbow” by Fannie Flagg? It starts off in the post-war years, and revolves around a woman who hosts a radio program out of her living room.
